He Qi's art hung 60 feet wide and 20 feet tall over the Christmas concerts at Gustavus this weekend. Five sell-out shows and 5000 people listened to the most beautiful of Christmas music and watched as three curtains rose above them to reveal the art. Here are a couple photos of the event.
Last night his art show opened at the Premier Gallery in Minneapolis. Champaigne, a wonderful crowd, and a marvelous kick-off for his American career followed. He'll send me some photos to share soon.
Today his family heads back to China for a couple months. I'm off to Washington, DC, to talk about using FINK as a Christain School art-based curriculum to tie church to school to nightly family "highs and lows."
I'll tell you more tomorrow.
