Working on Faith Ink Advent, "Signs of the Son"...hmmmmm....an excerpt:
“But in those days, after that suffering, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.” — Mark 13:24-25
Natural disasters often give advanced warning signs that animals can pick up.
Earthquakes, seismologists say, call ahead to let the world know they’re coming. Animals often sense the vibrations and become extremely agitated hours ahead of the actual quake.
Electrical storms also give signs. Dogs will bark at the sky or run and hide under beds. Human beings are often caught off guard by these natural phenomena.
There were great signs in the heavens and on earth when Jesus first appeared. The Bible says there will also be great signs when Jesus returns.
As we prepare for Christ’s coming this Advent, be aware of the signs. They point
to something great that is right around the corner!
Tell about a time you got caught off guard by the weather—a storm, an earthquake. How did it feel?
What signs do you see in the world that let you know Jesus is coming?
“May your eyes be open to the signs of Christ’s coming.”
